These terms apply to your use of this website and the mentorship programs offered by Magical Journey Network, Inc. ("MJN", "we", "us"), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. By using the site or joining a program, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
MJN offers free, one-to-one peer mentorship. Our mentors are volunteers who share their own lived experience. They are not therapists, counselors, doctors, lawyers or financial advisors, and nothing on this site or in a mentorship conversation is medical, psychological, legal or financial advice.
Mentorship works alongside professional care, never in place of it. If you are in crisis in the US, call or text 988, the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, or call 911 in an emergency.
You must be 18 or older to be mentored or to mentor with MJN. Mentors also agree to a conversation with our team, our code of ethics and the boundaries we set before any match is made.
Everyone in the network, mentors and mentees alike, agrees to:
We may pause or end any match, or remove anyone from the network, if these standards are broken. You can end a match at any time, for any reason, and ask to be rematched.
Mentors give their time for free and are not employees or agents of MJN. We talk with every mentor before matching and support them throughout, but we cannot guarantee any particular outcome from a mentorship, and each person remains responsible for their own decisions.
When you send us a story or photo and tick the consent box, you give MJN permission to share it on our website, social media and materials about our work, with your name as you provided it. You confirm that everyone in the photo agreed. You can ask us to take it down at any time and we will remove it from our website and future posts.
Magical Journey Network, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, so gifts are tax-deductible to the extent the law allows. You will receive a receipt by email. Donations are generally final, but if you made a mistake, email us within 30 days and we will do our best to refund it. Monthly gifts can be cancelled at any time.
Our merchandise is sold through Etsy and is subject to Etsy's terms. Our bookshelf uses Amazon affiliate links: as an Amazon Associate, Magical Journey Network, Inc. earns from qualifying purchases, which never changes what you pay. We are not responsible for the content or practices of other websites we link to.
The Magical Journey Network name, the phoenix logo, and the words, photos and design of this site belong to MJN or the people who shared them with us. Please do not copy or reuse them without asking. We are usually happy to say yes.
