Yes. Mentorship costs the person being mentored nothing, and it always will. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, our mentors are volunteers, and mentorship is the mission, not the product. There are no courses to buy, no premium tiers, and nobody will ever try to sell you anything.

Volunteers, every one of them. Nobody is paid to mentor, and nobody is selling anything. They are people who have come through a career change, unstable gig work, a search for renewed purpose, or the long road back after a hard season, and who chose to turn around and offer a hand. They are not experts reading from a script. They have been there.

Every mentor talks with our team before any match is made. Each one agrees to a clear code of ethics, defined boundaries, and expectations set out before they begin. They also have a team they can call on, so nobody mentors alone.

A real person on our team emails you within 72 hours. Then we have a short conversation about where you are and what kind of mentor would help. We match you with care rather than speed, and you meet your mentor by phone or video. If we cannot find the right fit yet, we tell you honestly and keep looking.

About an hour a week, for around three months, by phone or video. Some pairs keep going longer, and that is up to the two of you.

Say so. Fit matters more than politeness, and rematching is normal, not a failure. Nobody at MJN benefits from keeping a mismatch alive.
